The British Wood Preserving & Damp
Proofing Association (BWPDA)

The BWPDA is the premier trade organisation
of its type in Europe. To become a member,
remedial treatment contractors must demonstrate a high level of competence by holding the nationally recognised CSRT surveying qualification and adhere to a strict code of ethics. In addition, a member company must be financially sound and have been trading for a minimum of three years.

“The national Association of Estate Agents and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors advises that when looking for a remedial treatment contractor, you should make sure it is a member of the British Wood Preserving & Damp Proofing Association. Ideally, it should also offer GPI insurance-backed guarantees”
